    Skeeter trailer bearings

I asked this in the trailering & towing section, but haven't gotten an answer. I'm new to this type of trailer, so bear with me. I have a tandem axle '07 EZ Loader for my ZX190. I'm just wondering how to check the lube & refill on this trailer. It has the flat cap over the bearings & I'm used to the nipple type that you fill with a grease gun. Any help with how to get these caps off and check the lube will be greatly appreciated.

Mine just pop out... use a small knife or whatever... they snap back in... be very very slow to add grease... usually a dab a year is enough.

With each boat I sell I instruct folks not to touch those things! Once it's full the grease isn't going anywhere. It doesn't dissolve or leak out. If you overfill it the grease will blow out the seal on the back. Once grease goes out the back water can get in.

I do mine by hand once a year. Disassemble them, clean them and repack by hand. The rest of the year I don't touch them. Add it to your yearly maintenance at the dealership if you don't want to do it yourself. For example, each time you have the water pump impellor changed, do the trailer servicing.
