anybody have one they would get rid of
I think i have one??? I will look and get back to you...
the reason i ask a friend has a zx225 and was asking me if they all composite boat i said they are .well he showed me the piece that was cut out for his recessed tray and it had marine plywood in it he is pissed !!
there is wood in the deck around the seat pedistal. I have an 05 ZX225 and thats what mine has. The Structure/support beams are aluminum, so he shouldn't be upset. Also the transom is all composite and aluminum.
doesnt skeeter claim no wood all composite
It doesn't say in the 2003 brochure.
They don't use wood in the structural design.
Quote from the brochure:
"Skeeter was the first production bass boat to develop and use composite components as the main structural members of the boat. Developed by Skeeter engineers, these composite components are called "X-CEL" composites. And like any other marine manufacturer, Skeeter's E-CEL composites are aerospace derivatives. The transom, stringers, floor and deck are all Skeeter X-CEL composites."
The wood is probably put there at first to get things ready to assemble or something. Tell your buddy to relax, that's one place the wood would never rot.![]()
my 2004 had wood glassed in the front deck too. doesnt bother me. the hull has no wood though.
