No matter what position I place my livewell valves in [ closed,open etc.] when I hit the switch for recirc it pumps the water out of my livewells.The red valve in the livewells is pushed in.Am I doing something wrong?

Are both red valves pushed in? There is one in each livewell.
on my boat (06 21i) one of the cables under the open /closed valves beside the drivers seat was not working, i took out the panel and found that the plastic nut holding the cable in place was snaped off, i replaced it with a metal nut and now they workfine
Both red valves are pushed in.I will check the cables.
