I have power going to livewell aerator but not working-push buttons on panel show lit. How can I fix???? Need help please.
Russ
If you are checking for power at the pump itself and seeing 12V then the pump is bad. If you are checking for powerat the output of the switch, then it could be a severed wire or something.
I dont know how they do it on the later models, but on my 88 model SK the wiring has like 8 circuit breakers at the console, THEN there are a ton of inline fuses around the boat in various hard to find places. My front aerator motor fuse is tucked up inside the rod locker. You'd hardly ever find it if you didnt know it was there.

do you have your red valve pulled in or out, i know it has something to do with it, not sure, i too have a few ques on my livewells, the switches by the drivers seat, open/closed, what is the proper use of these.
I'm sure you have the pump out system on that boat. Check in the livewells to make sure the red valves are pushed in. If they are pulled out, it is trying to suck water out of the livewells. If this is happening you should be able to hear the pumps sucking though.

Stratos285,
Red valves in livewell? What red valves? I have open and close vents on side of drivers seat, which I understand how they work. My port side recirc pump is working fine but found out today after doing some further checking that when I hit the override switch in battery box that all works except starbird side.
It looks as though pump is out I have power at switch but no noise at pump .
Russ
I posted but deleted them thinking you already knew about the pump out feature. Evidently no one told you about it.
Look in your livewells and look up at the top center of them. You'll see a red t-handle. Pull it out with the RECIRCULATE switch on and it's a livewell pump out. The water will exit at the back of the boat, up on top of the rub rail. The black grommet says PUMP OUT on it.
With the red handles pushed in and RECIRCULATE switch ON, then the water recirulates inside the livewell.
I had the same problem.
I would bet you have a small piece of debree in the pump itself.
Had a small piece of plastic in mine.
it is a pain in the arse to get to also.
take out your charger----your batteries--- pop the top of the pump and clean out
takes about an hour

KD,
Your right my dealer did not tell me a thing about this lever. I did not know about the pumpout feature either. And since they did not produce a manual for the I-Class who would have known?
Thanks for the help?

If you look in your Skeeter packet (bag) you may find a set of decals that show an overview of the pump out system. They're usually in the bag but rarely affixed to the boat when it arrives. I go over it with my customers during boat delivery.
Did that solve your problem?
KD,
Looked in original bag and it wasn't in their either. Both valves found and were pushed in, but no noise coming from starbird pump. Can you actually hear the aerators when they are on, because I can't here a thing. Have the Oxymax system as well, can't here it either.
Russ
Yes, especially if you're in Pump Out mode and the well is empty. It'll be as loud as your bilge running while dry.
Do you have a test light? Is there power to the pump?
KD,
Letting my dealer deal with it since he didn't fix it right in the first place. Looks as though they just ordered a new pump from Skeeter and hopefully will be working before my next tournament next weekend. Does the aerator and Oxymax system make any sound not in pump out mode?
