I HAVE A ZX200 SKEETER WITH A 200 YAMAHA VMAX 3.1. BOAT RUNS GREAT AND RIDES GREAT, EXCEPT WHEN I GO AROUND A CURVE OR A POINT, IT WANTS TO BOUNCE AND SKIP, DOES NOT MATTER HOW FAST OR SLOW OR IF ITS TRIMMED UP ALL THE WAY OR DOWN. RUNNING A 25 TURBO LIGHTNING 71 MPH WITH 2 PEOPLE AND LOAD. ANY SUGGESTIONS.
Trim down some before you get to the curve. Then give it gas to "power" through the curve.
I have the same boat and motor and mine does the same thing.....even if I mess with the trim...still bounces....I have adjusted the jack plate every way possible.
Would like to hear some responces if anyone knows deal....I have had people tell me that just how some Skeeters ride. But I love my Skeeter.

Have you guys tried any different props? I would think it has to be something with the prop and/or engine height??? They definitely don't all ride that way. I have one with the 3.3 liter & a 25-T1 prop, and my best friend has one with the 2.6 liter with a 25M prop. They are both set at 2.5" below the pad, and neither of them do that. I hope you get it figured out.
