Mine were RULE. They are the type where you pull out the motor cartridge. Now this is my thoughts on it. My boat (SX190) came with the 500 GPH's. Had one that went out on warranty and was replaced. While i was down there, i went ahead and bought the 700 GPH's. There is a big difference now. It pumps alot better. So, that is something you might want to think about, upgrading to the next size. By the way, i have a 2 500's i'm not using. One is brand new and the other is used. Ever come this way to Alexandria??
