I'm thinking of talking to these guys this winter or next year also. If things work out I may be back in the mid west again next spring and I may do something with them then

Mat told me the typical gains to expect from the 2.6l (which is what I have) is about 1mph per 10hp. Which on the 2.6 the phase I is 30hp and the phase II is 55hp, so I would probably be looking roughly at 5-6mph gain. Which should be enough to push me over the 70mph mark, which wouldnt be too shabby for a 18 1/2' rig

what's the cost to get an extra 5-6 mph's ?

    Re: phase kits. (Hardhead1)

1500.00 - 2600.00 ( Parts ) I think, but if your thinking of rebliding your motor anyways it seens to be the way to go

Unless your in Ca. then I think it will screw up the low emissions and you will not be able to run on some lakes NOW I'm not sure about this and thats why I need to Talk to them myself.

Also I 'm thinking you cann't run reg unleaded, you have to go up permiun

It depends on what model you have, go to http://www.yamaha-rebuild.com and look up the kit for your motor. Its about $500 cheaper for the phase kits on the HPDI's over the carbed versions

My Phase I is doing fine, must use 89 gas though, expect 6mph jump under ideal conditions... you can run with the 225s as a 200... Phases II and III will get you more of course.

    Re: phase kits. (jwz71)

27 Yammy prop at 5,900 or so with full fishing load and 30 gallons of gas or so... 72 is no prob any day of the year... 74.4gps is my best in cold water. I don't hammer down very much... mostly just on blastoff and coming in... gas is costly and its just nice to have the power if needed, it can save 100 casts per event sometimes versus a 150 for example...
I will fish Black River Lake tomorrow if no rain early and Louie or BRL the 16th in club events.
