1979 Skeeter

Just purchased a 1979 Skeeter fishing boat. It's definitly a fixer-uper that my buddy and i will be working on until spring. I will eventually post some before and after pics when the project is complete. I want to keep the boat as original looking as i can with some modern upgrades. Any info or pics would be great. I'm still trying to determine what model boat i have. Any help, suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated!

Here is a link with a picture of a boat that is very similar to the boat i purchased (closest i could find on the net...) but mine was definitly not in this bad a shape and only has one counsel for a windshield! The passenger seat is located towards the back of the boat on the left.

Hey John, what model do you have. I got a Wrangler 120 did a lot of restoration on it last year. I sure do hope it is not in as bad of shape as that one in the picture. Spring would be a little premature if it is. Good Luck and make sure you take before during and after pics

Here are some of the before pics of my boat project...anyone knows what model skeeter this is?

The pics may make the boat look worse than it really is. These pics were taken after we scraped out all the old carpeting, took out the seats, ripped out all the wiring, etc. We should be getting the boat painted with a new clear coat in a couple weeks.

John, I have no clue what that model is. BjBnet is one of the Mods for this forum. He has some of the old phamplets and might be able to look it up for you and see if he can find out for you. If not he should be able to push you in the right direction of somebody that does.
