    Skeeter Customer Service

Called Skeeter Customer Service today about a problem with a 14 year old boat. All I can say is First Rate Service!!! Darby was more that helpfull and took the time to pull an old design drawing to answer my question. With service like that I know where my next boat will be coming from! He is also sending some locker keys as well. My kind of company

Re: Skeeter Customer Service (Skeeter Madness)

When I decided to install a hotfoot in my new boat, my crappy dealer in Michigan could not tell me what size cable to buy.

So I called down to Skeeter and talked with Darby. I told him I was just wondering what length throttle cable I needed, he asked me my address and 2 days later UPS dropped me one off.....

That is what brings people back!!!

Re: Skeeter Customer Service (fishin couillon)

Yes, The customer service is incredible.
In the second year of owning my 2000 ZX202, my son left a sandwich under the passenger seat. The next morning I came down to find that some friendly raccoons had decided to tear apart the seat to get at the sandwich. I called Skeeter and told them what happened and asked about the price of a replacement seat.
They sent me a new seat.... NO CHARGE...
I will never own anything other than a Skeeter!

    Re: Skeeter Customer Service (gofish24)

I was quite surprised myself when I called Skeeter and spoke to Darby about my fuel issue. I got through the first time and problem is solved. I will never buy another brand again with this kind of service. Man a major manufacture offering actual customer service is awesome. Others just offer "customer no service".

    I'm with Skeeter for life.

Skeeter has some great customer service for sure. Darby is the best and willing to answer questions to help you take care of your problem

(Skeeter Madness) just FYI Marshall is no longer with Skeeter, but he was very helpful as well.

Re: Skeeter Customer Service (Debra Hengst)

They do have great customer service, but I have one question. With all the problems people are having with seats, why don't they just do a recall? My 06 ZX225 (bought in late August) had already had one seat back replaced, and needs both seat bottoms...Debra, hope to get to meet you when you're here in June.

    Re: Skeeter Customer Service (usmc_sniper_1974)

I am glad some people are having good luck.

I bought a boat in June and it developed had some fiberglass issues. It went to a Skeeter appointed fiberglass shop in Oct 20 and now it is at the Skeeter factory. I just called and the factory and they said it will be at least February.

This means I will have it for a little over 7 months and have only ran it for three months (in between June and Oct it sat at a dealership for a month with the problem).

I really like Skeeters (sold a perfect 2004 and bought a 2005) and I don't want to seem like a basher, but I don't know what it do. This is an expensive investment not to get to use it.

    Any suggestions????
I don't know where we are, but we are making darn good time.

    Marc,

Daniel is replacing the anti-siphon valves to correct the problem. I was stumped when Bob told me it would drain more from port (not 3 times more) than starboard.

    Re: Skeeter Customer Service (basspro)

I wish my dealings with Skeeter have been as most mentioned above but to be honest I have been extremely disappointed. I too have had seat issues and have been unable to get them resolved. The material they used on the seats for my 2004 ZX 250 is terrible. Over a year ago the seats started ripping at the seams and I have been unable to get them to resolve it. I spoke to them on the phone regarding this three times and was finally told to send pictures and they would think about it. I sent the pictures two months ago and have not heard a peep. I even sent another email without the pictures attached to see if it did not go through because of size and still have not heard back. I guess I will have to call for the 4th time and hope that they do the something. A 45K boat should not have seat issues in less then two years. My boat is washed after each use, waxed 4+ times a year, garaged kept and covered while traveling. This is my first Skeeter and have been very happy with it other then the seats and the decals all peeling off. I bought from one of their national pros and it had never been in the water when I bought it. The closest Skeeter dealer is several hours away and they are not very interested in helping since I did not buy the boat from them. I even told Skeeter that I would pay cost but I did not think that I should get bent over by the dealer because of the substandard materials they used. I am no big time pro but I do fish 16 plus tournaments a year and all of my co-anglers ask about the seats. You would think they would not want people seeing their product falling apart like this. I will update after my phone call this week. If anyone on here has any suggestions on how I might get this resolved I would greatly appreciate it.
