That explains the fuel consumption. At 6K rpm the F150 drinks also. I could only imagine 200 or more horses.

I can barely afford the gas with what i got much less 200 or more horses. I've tried several times to just cruise back to the landing but next thing i know, I'm back at 6000 R's. I have a little problems going slow sometimes. I took a couple of weekends off from fishing. The gas cost was starting to be a little problem with filling the truck and boat up each weekend. Besides, too dang hot. Water temps at sunrise is around 90. Figured I'd start working some overtime at the office to recoup the gas cost. Hopefully, it will start cooling off. Looking for that around mid September to October. Should have a good stash of gas money by then.
