Skeeter SX 200 $

What is the going price for a new SX 200 with a V-Max? Also what is the differance in the ZX and SX?

I would imagine that it would be around 26-32K depending on what all you get and who is selling it. SX is not loaded out like the ZX. Some major points in the ZX is the jackplate, aluminum brace inside bilge area, no splash well design, electronics, etc. JMO, you could find a couple year old ZX model for about the same price as a new SX200 model. Keep in mind that on the SX model you can not put a jackplate on with out voiding the warranty on the hull. Hate to have a $30K piece of equipment and not have a warranty on it. There will be other on here that will add to this.

The big #1 (and this may have changed) for me is the ZX is all composite where the SX (if I'm not mistaken) has wooden decks.

I don't believe that the decks are wood. I think they all are composite and fiberglass. Now there are a few wood product in the boat, ie: the back of the rod boxes, 2x4 to support the rod box walls, under the seat, and behind the gas tank. Now, at this point i'm speaking for my SX190. I would imagine that its the same as the 200. I don't believe that there is wood in the main construciton parts of the boat, ie transom, floor, hull, stringers, etc.

FC's right, I think all Skeeters are considered composite now. They may have some pieces of wood in them but nothing structural. Check with CG Wright, he just bought a ZX200 a while back, I think he did a lot of thinking on which of the two models to buy.
