Skeeter told me to go F myself, the Skeeter rep told me to go F myself and the dealer told me to go F myself. The dealer blames the rep, and the rep blames Skeeter. I have owned just about every bass boat out there. This was my first Skeeter, and I can tell you that when I buy next year - which I do every two years, Skeeter will be at the bottom of my list.

Yes, with the purchase of the boat, I was to get the extended warranty, the boat cover, rods, hat and shirt. I understand now that wasn't correct, but I made my buying decision based on what the dealer and the Skeeter rep told me. They now all have their money so they care nothing about the customer or customer service. My next boat will be ba Basscat. They would have stepped up to the plate here or at least told the dealer to step up.
Don't know the whole story, but if have not already contacted Skeeter in Kilgore, Tx. please do (903-984-0541). I have been with Skeeter a long time and for them to simply tell a customer to go F... off is not how they operate. I assure you Skeeter does not want to lose you as a customer. Please let me know how it works out.

Yes it was Angler's port & Marine in Warsaw, MO. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GUY. His last words to me yesterday was "skeeter didn't give him his $500 so he can't help me" This guy shouldn't even be selling jon boats.

I know exactly how you feel. I had the same experience at their shop. Lots of empty promises, and broken windshield, to boot.
For the Life of Me I don't know why Skeeter would have their name associated with someone who represents their product, and customers like that.
I too was told, never come back, "we don't want to do business with people like you".
I see a trend here and its not getting better, I now know of 4 people in less than 3 months that have had that exact same experience as you.
It's a shame because I really like my Skeeter and their Product.

I would not hold skeeter responsible for this. The dealer is the one what made the promises that they should have never made. If you like the boat just go to another dealer that is honest.
That is like me saying you could take my girlfriend out on a date and then when she finds out about it she says noway! Who's to blame? Me! My girlfriend had nothing to do with it.
I don't think that I accused Skeeter of anything, I agree it all lays at the feet of the dealer.
I also, know that Skeeter makes a great product and most likely 99% of their Dealers are top notch.
But it's how you deal with difficult situations, as to whether or not, you get a good reputation or the converse.
It's such a competitive world, that I would think, the Dealers would make every effort to satisfy customers, rather than the opposite.

But the dealer made the promise based on what Skeeter told him. The Skeeter rep is skeeter as far as I'm concerned, and he told the dealer he would get the deal through because that is the way he sold the boat. It is the dealers fault for selling the boat that way, but Skeeter should also step up here.
are you sure skeeter was even involved? sometimes there is way more to the story. maybe the dealer was just tellin you they talked to em. skeeter ain't never done nothin like that. there has to be more to this story

slade, My name Marty and I work for Center City Marine in springfield Mo. I know I was dealer you bought from. But let check to see what I can do about your cover.
I had a similar situation with purchase of new 05' and I took the rebates on it. The dealer still pitched in a cover but as for the "Federation Package" which I assume is what you are talking about, you can't get that if you took any rebates on the purcahse of the boat. I learned this the hard way. I can assure you that our Skeeter rep here in Missouri is a reasonable human being that would see to it that you got whatevery you might be entitled to. Sounds like there is a miscommunication through the dealer that they have no intention to try an clarify. Thanks for the info. I won't shop there if that's how they are.
Also, did your club align with Mo-Bass or TBF? Just curious. Skeeter became the state sponser for 05' and may or may not be that here in 06'.
