    Live wells

I have a 1996 461. The live wells have fill and empty with recirculate in the middle. I have always ran them on fill. Now when I get on plane my wells almost empty. They also aren't filling up as much as I would like. I just checked and when I go from empty to fill the linkages do expand. Anybody got any quick fixes? I guess something is wore out or keeping the valves from shutting all the way. Any help would be appreciated.

They all do this with time,
Inside your valve is small rubber flaps (like a mini mud flap) these get old and shriveled with time. They are easy to replace if you can get to the valve easy. Go to Flow-rite.com to get the replacement valve rebuild kit. In the past I contacted flow-rite and they sent me new flaps for free. Now they may charge for and entire valve rebuild kit. I think they are $9.95 for the rebuild kit. Good company to do business with.
