I need to customize everything. I think I can improve others
designs, sometimes.
I'll take a swing at this, Black is usually ground, purple is illumination and the blue will be the signal lead. To keep the smoke in the wires I would take a DVOM and check that the black is ground and if the blue & purple are backwards there should not be any damage.
