    how to get more power

    Hi.... i have some cuestion... i´ve 250 evinrude carb and i wanna get more hp or do it faster, i was thinking in fuel rails, but i don´t now how it works, if i need an electric fuel pump, eliminate vro or something else... and what other mods can i do... thaks

    Your questoins would best be answered on http://www.screamandfly.com. fuel rails won't help you'd have to install an aftermarket EFI kit at about $3,500-$4,500 US. Plus porting etc your looking at about $6,000 + US and will decrease the reliability of your motor.

    and what about cylinder heads, velocity stacks, light flyweel decrease the reliability of my motor too? and where can i get veloity stacks?? thaks a lot.....

    The guys on snf will help you. If you have $6K to spend to hop up a motor only to have to rebuild it at 100 or less hours then have fun. We don't do hop ups here.

    As CM said, you are looking at decreasing the reliability. Anything you do to a big looper, you have to rejet. You also have to try to find some of the parts.

    Not sure what gas costs where you live, but I wouldn't do heads, because then you have to run super unleaded.

    I would do EFI if it was me, and I could afford it, otherwise, I would leave it alone, maybe look at reeds.
