    Good 20'+ Ranger

Bad being an '06 there's probably no motor warranty

    Re: 2006 ranger z20 (burleydark)

I just traded my 2007 Z-20 in, I liked the boat.

Good: Big rear deck, lots of room
Rail system (I liked it, once I got used to it)
Lots of room on boat, 3 guys can fish off it
    Looks great

Bad: Big rear deck puts the seats father forward and hurts bow lift.
Rail system (many do not like it)

Ran 70 MPH, never had a problem with it, and it fished great.

Good is its a Ranger and it WAS there flagship boat.

Now the bad is they ride super flat, they get blown around in wind ALOT, and the 05/06 models have a issue with porposing.....Literally they bounce nose up when u get to a certain speed or rpm, and there was no fix for it on certain boats

    Re: (GhostComanche)

Sold my 05 Z20 last year. Great fishing boat. Buddy has an 06 and neither one of us had porpoising issues. It's definitely not a great rough water boat but it fishes like a dream. Probably wetter than most boats as far as spray is concerned. Other than that, I really liked the boat but my z520 is ALOT better.

I'm running an '06 with a 225 Pro-XS and 10" jack plate. I agree with all above except the comment about "getting blown around in the wind while fishing" Where the heck did that come from?? The Z20 fishes like a dock!

On the ride issue, switching to a Trophy four-blade really helps. If you run a Tempest, you really have to over-drive it since the Z20 does tend to "run flat". The Trophy lets you throttle back and keep some bow lift and take the waves better. I run mine on Erie all of the time with a High Five and love the boat.

Great boat I couldn’t be happier with mine. If you decide to pull the trigger on the purchase you will not regret it.

I will second on what Roger just said, that plate really helps those hulls a lot, also one other thing in my opinion they do fish great when you drop the trolling motor especially when you have a wind coming at you from the side, they track real good in rough water, of course if you want better ride the longer the better but as far as fishing out of the front of that rig you will love it.
