    Ranger Trail Trailer

The rubber step pad on the trailer is coming off. What is the best way to remove the old adhesive and re-install the pad on the trailer step?

You can use a hard scraper to chip off the old adhesive and the best thing I have found to use to replace the pad with us carpet glue. You can pick it up at your local hardware store. Some people alse use silicone but it won't hold as well.

Also after you can use some pure alcohol or acetone to loosen the old adhesive.

The non skid rubber on my trailer's step was coming loose and a dealer used Gorila Glue to fix it.

    Re: Ranger Trail Trailer (Hardhead1)

Got an order from Ranger last week with new rubber step pads for the front of my boat and steps on the trailer. They cut the pieces to the original pattern and shipped to me ready to go in, saving me a lot of stress. Mine were disintegrating from age.

Carb cleaner will also take off the old glue and will not hurt one thing, we use both sometimes to take old glue off.
