    Rubber mat adhesive

Im replacing the triangular rubber mat on the bow and on the trailer step due to UV cracking. What is the adhesive I should use. i have it striped clean, cleaned w alcohol. Are there any tips I should know to apply these mats. At this time I called Minn-Kota to price the plastic base to my tm, To my surprise it was only around $30. The old base is all beat up and banged from 6 yrs of normal abuse, now w a little spray paint on the motor part it will look fairly new.... You guys on the Ranger forum are the best, Im still getting replies from my Ford 250 vs Dodge 2500 post [ 30 plus to date }... Thanks

I can't leave anything stock, I can't leave well enough alone.
I need to customize everything. I think I can improve others
    designs, sometimes.

I am thinking about doing the same replacement on my '07 Z20. Where did you purchase the rubber mats?

    Re: Rubber mat adhesive (jseasor)

I'm curious to know what the best way is to get the old stuff off the fiberglass boat fenders. Most of mine fell off but there is a fair amount that needs to be removed. I'm thinking heat and elbow grease? I bought my replacement fender pads pre-cut from Ranger. Still trying to decide what type of adhesive to use so I dont have to do this again. The loc-tite stuff they recommended comes in 1 oz bottles at about $30 each and appears to only be available on-line.

Re: Rubber mat adhesive (Northeast Bassin)

I used contact cement on my last Ranger and it worked great because the mat was flat. The step on my 520 needed to be replaced so I bought the precut pad from ranger, but contact cement didn't hold the edges too well because they make a sharp bend along the edge. I had to superglue the edge.
