Welcome to the boards!
Ive had my boat coming up on 2 yrs. I have the 618 so my ride wont be as good. That said, it rides better than an 18ft should. Handles very good as well. On the TM it fishes great. The front decks on the 618/19 are identical and you will find it plenty roomy and fishable. Storage on these boats is great. Craftsmanship is good as well as fit and finish. What little problems I had, the factory took care of it immediately.
Take a test fish in one for half a day and decide for yourself!![]()

None better IMO. That will be most if not everyones opinion who own a Phoenix. But still you need to take a tour of the Phoenix plant. That will show you the craftsmanship. Then take a ride in one if you have not ( preferably on a windy day )to see the rough water ride for yourself. Fishability is awesome. I know others will chime right in and say it has a very stabile platform. The lay out of things are user friendly, ie , net storage, tool holder, etc. Hope my $.02 helps.![]()
As stated by Kevin you will have to take a tour of the plant. I purchased mine before but really did enjoy the tour and seeing the extra steps they take to build a top quality boat. You will be impressed but take a ride in one and see for yourself. I have a 721 and have been in some nasty water on ky and lets say i was very impressed.![]()
I have a 619 with a merc pro xs. not out of breakin yet but very impressed with the ride and fit and finish. Got mine from junior at sportsmans and he ran the boat with a full load and full gas and got 70.5 out of it that was with a little over 2 hrs on the engine. i wanted a single trlr so i could easily move around and it pulls great. boat has plenty of storage . i loaded everything from my previous boat (ranger 519) and have room left over.![]()
Thanks for all the imput. Will use it to help my purchase from jr. ty
I honestly cannot find anything bad to say about mine. Great ride and a very stable platform when fishing.
I was on Ky Lake last Oct, out of Buchanan Resort area. Winds were 20+ and gusting to 30+ all day. Ran it out in the middle with an average running speed of 50+. Only time I got sprayed was when I had to bank it toward the wind and spray came over the front edge.
It rides better than the 2007 Stratos 201 I had before this 721. With the Phoenix, it feels like the butt wants to sit down before the nose slams the water when you shoot big waves. Never remember the boat slamming down flat after launching it completely out of the water when going over a big wave at 50+ mph; which jolts the crap out of you.
I've bounced my partner completely out of his seat when I did that with the Stratos while running up behind a useless boat down at Smithland Pool. (Useless...big boat that kicks a 4' wave and goes a max speed of 20 mph - or any that doesn't have a trolling motor on it).
As far as dealing with Jr. Give him all kinds of crap... Make him jump through hoops....
But above all else.... Ya can't find anyone better to buy your Phoenix from.

Took out the 721 on Crab Orchard today. Winds were 10-15 with a chop of 1-2'.
Trip max: Today - couldn't hold the camera with the wind and speed and take a pic.

Decided I needed both hands to hold the phone steady...Running a short distance with no hands on the wheel. Click on the pic below.
This boat handles very good.
I have a 619 and I absolutely love it. Best riding boat I have ever been in and I bought mine without having ever seen one in person. I would do it again in a heartbeat and my father loves mine so much that he is probably next on the list for one. You will not be sorry. Good luck.

Phoenix doesn't take a backseat to anyone on craftsmanship. One of the very best.Plus, you get Phoenix factory support, and service after the sale from the dealer. (Jr. is good people)

i own the 618 w/175. and love the ride. charli has got 69.4 in his with him and i got 65 the other day with my fishing partner with me. as i understand the 619 w/200 only gets around 70 to 71 average and you only get the extra length in the back of the boat so with that said i would get the 618 and save some green or step up the the 21 footer. but i own the 618 so i might be a little byest on the subject. crunch some numbers though. good luck on your purchase.
