    Beeline 278

Hello everyone. Just picked up my first bass boat. 2009 Beeline 278 pro fd with a 2002 Merc 125. Motor has 22p lazer II prop. I know its not gonna be a speed demon but does anyone have any experience with this boat or have any setup tips??

Thanks!! Took out the boat tonight with two people, a good amount of tackle between both of us, and 3/4 tank of gas. I saw right at 50mph, water pressure was between 15-20. The tach was at 5300 and it wanted to keep going but i held it there cause redline is only 5250 on this motor. Not sure how accurate the factory tach is?? Have not measured exactly how high the motor is but eyeballing it seemed like the plate is about 2in above the bottom of boat , maybe a touch higher.
