    Boat modifications

Not able to fish do to having to stay close to Sue w/her broken hip. But does not stop me from doing some storage modifications on the boat. Warning pic heavy.

First a drink holder made out of cutting board material, and it stays put due to the notch on the seat pole.

Drivers side rod locker. Holes are cut to I can do as the pic shows or hang bags of bait or hand crank baits until they are dry before putting away. Made out of 3/4" channel (as all are and holes are configured the same on all.)

Close up of drivers side rod locker lid. (Rods are not in the boat due to drilling and tapping holes)

Front storage compartment. Black tape on the bags is Black Duck tape to keep the bags from ripping threw.

Close up of front locker lid.

Another close up from a different angle.... have you noticed I can also hang the bags with two different clips depending on the weight of the bait bag.

Shelf made with holes to hold things I use all the time, covers that sink hole at the front of the main box at the front.....have no idea what they call it. Shelf is made out of cutting board material again and held in place with velcro.

Lindy Marker Buoy Rack Pack Kit when needed, mainly early summer or when ever ledge fishing is the order of the day.

Those days the Marker Buoy are not needed.

Boat now has Blue Water LED's all over and in it...meaning JP, trailer and all lockers. Even have TWO two way alarms installed and both control boxes are epoxied to the top deck, with one wired to the deck lights so when it goes off all my deck lights go off and on as well. Trying to figure out how to get some good pics of that, no movie camera.

    Ed,

I wish I was as organized as you; you really know how to make a boat have that extra pop in it to make people say "wow". Good job and good luck.

For the light weight bags I used a Cotter Hair Pin 3/32" in Dia. and 1 3/4" over all, they have them at Lowe's.

For the heavier bags used a Hinged Snap Ring, that Lowe's carries as well.

Gorilla duct tap is what I used to keep the bags from being ripped out of the pins.

Holes are 1/8" in Dia. spaced 1/2" apart.

She is doing better, but she hates having to use the walker all the time. Telling her around 12 wks + for close to full recovery. Thanks for asking.

Ed, were you an Eagle Scout? You are the kinda guy that is nice to fish with. Every thing in order and ready to go. It can really pay dividends when fishing.
    Good job.
