Do you guys with your HDS flush mounted on the bow have any trouble viewing it? Mine is on a gimbal right now and thinking about flush mounting it.

I have a little trouble seeing it at mid day with my sunglasses on. Make sure the screen is clean and it's much easier to see.
You can get it in the wrong light and get some glare but that happens no matter how it's mounted. I like mine flush mounted because I don't have to take them off at night when I'm on the road.

I have a Humminbird 997 flush mounted in the bow. Not a Lowrance, but I have not experience undue glare.![]()

There are always issues with viewing flush mounted gear.....
The advantage is that with flush mounting there is no bouncing and vibration at speed with waves. I hate seeing good electronics bouncing around in rough water!
