    air temp sensor

1999 Evinrude 225 E225FPLEEO. If the air temp sensor comes out of where it is mounted and just flops around will it cause the check engine alarm and light to come on and restrict anything?

I do not think it would cause a check engine fault and cause the engine to go into SLOW mode. If you experienced a check engine light and do not know what caused it you need to have it hooked up to a laptop and read the code.
