Feed back on your Beeline boat.

Hey guys I am looking for some feedback on your Beeline bass boats. I am going to be buying a new boat in the spring and I am really liking the 286 Pro Vee model...fits my budget and I just like the looks of the boats. I have already spoken with a couple of dealers as well... I can't find anyone in Va where I live that has one but I am thinking of heading to a dealer in Nc who has a few in stock to take a look at them. I just want to know what you owners think of them...the quality...the fit and finish and the ride...they are awesome looking boats...so let me know what you think of your Bee. Look forward to some feedback.

    Thanks!!

I have owned a 286 Pro Vee for about 1 and 1/2 years and have not had any problems. I feel that what you get for the price is hard to beat. I live in northeast tenn and you can buy one here. I have a 150hp ETEC and it will run in the mid 60s

You might want to wait, and take a look at their new 18' Phoenix that will be released at the Classic in February though.

    Nightbasser sent you an im.

Thanks for the feedback guys...anyone else have any praise for there Bee?

I'd be willing to bet the 18' Phoenix is not going to have the same price tag as the Bee 286. One of the main things that attracted me to the Beeline was the affordability.

I bought a 2008 Bee Line 286 Magnum with a Mercury 175 Pro XS. Great boat! Best riding 18 ft boat I have been in. A really good looking boat also! Excellent quality built boat with all the features of bigger boats. Top speed of 68.9 mph on gps. Not a single complaint with the boat, just decided I had to have one of the new Phoenix boats when they came out. I bought a Phoenix 721.

Man that is one awesome looking boat... I really like the look of these boats. Cant wait to see the color scheme I want... going to be awesome... I have not heard one single negative comment about the 286. There just don't seem to be any Bee owners in Va or Nc...to take a look at one... I might have to hit one of the boat shows. I appreciate all the info guys!!

We have sold more 286's than anything else in the Phoenix/Bee Line brands. Tremendous value, nothing else will compare to it apples to apples. We have not had any of them back to the shop for anything, other than for a single broken interior light that was fixed right away.

On the website they claim that the max hp for the 286 to be 150? Was the magnum able to have 175?

The 286 has a "Magnum package" which rates the boat for a 175.

    Rick,
I don't own a Bee but been looking at them for a future purchase. I crawled inside and out of a 2100 Bee at my local marina. It truly is amazing what you are getting for the price. Fit and finsih was great and it was rigged with some nice features. Alos with the price that you are getting you can upgrade in some areas and not break the bank.

I think the looks of the 286 are really nice. That console is a tad different and just looks sleek. I truly think you will be more than pleased with the quality, speed, fishability and most of all the customer service of Phoenix and Bee-line. Try to get to the rally and yuo'll see a whole swam of Bee's!!!

Re: Feed back on your Beeline boat. (JoePA)

Again I want to thank everyone for there feedback...there is NO DOUBT when I go to buy a new boat that I will be getting a Beeline. I want to buy one this spring...but with the economy and things like they are I may have to wait on a new boat now after thinking about things and talking to the wife...economy and everything is so shaky right now. I may just have to take the money I have saved and get a good used boat that I can pay for outright...I am kind of bummed but it is what it is...but I really appreciate all the info and willingness by you folks to take the time to help me out. I may be calling on your folks input when I am trying to decide on a used boat...all I have owned are Rangers...(2 used ones) so I think I want to branch out and try a new brand. Out of curiosity does anyone know if the Bumble Bee boats are of as good a quality as the Belline that Phoenix now makes...I saw one for 10 grand on e-bay the other night...a 2002 model 18 footer with a 150 on it...would appreciate any feedback I could get on this as well.

    Thanks Again...you folks are great!!

More than likely that Bumble Bee still has wood in it. Gregg said the last couple of years he sold them they had a "composite option".

That could be detrimental to ones bank account......going to be Phoenix line boats there as well
Just don't look at them and you should be fine.
Just keep telling yourself BEELINE, BEELINE, NOT Phoenix

Bumblebee wood or composite, around 2002 was when they started changing from wood to composite. It is in the model number. I can't remember the letter that tells you what the boat is made with, but it is one letter in the 1st 4 letters. Someone else may have a better memory than me. But that 2002 could be either I believe.
