There's a con??? LOL. I wish my Triton had them.. I can't think of anything I dislike about the removable storage bins. Rigging is one of many advantages. You ever try snaking a ducer cable down the gunnel? I wish I could have removed the storage containers in many boats that I have rigged over the years. You can also take them out and hose them off etc etc.

If you haven't looked at Phoenix boats, I would suggest you do. They are well built and full of features for the price. Several former Triton owners (me included, also most recently "Rudapa") have gone to Phoenix. </td></tr></table>

Phoenix was one of the boats I looked at before going with the z9 they are nice boats. 2 things I didn't like.

    1. was the back deck was bigger than the front deck (721)????

    2nd price compared to Nitro.

Aside from the deck it did have some nice features. But it's no z9 when you compare storage and fishability. Nitro's are the biggest boats I have seen for their respective lengths. My honest opinion I would pick Triton over Phoenix. Thats just my personal likes and dislikes. I currently own both Triton and Nitro now.

Re: Opinions on Nitro vs Triton (NJDevil)

Im not bashing nitro as i own one but going from a ranger to the nitro all i can tell you is if money is not an object go with the triton. If you are on a budget get the nitro. And remember u get what you pay for. Thats all im going to say.

    Hey Big Sack,

I understand you had some bad luck with your Nitro, but that issue can be poss with any manufacture, don't sit here and say no way, if it was a Ranger or a Triton it would have been repaired with no questions.

Truth is anytime anyone has an issue whether it be a warrenty problem or an Insurance claim, your gonna have good cases and bad. It most always depends on the guy receiving your complaint, and how experienced or passionate he is to help you.

soo all in all, I really feel that you may have had a bad experience, but that would be what one complaint out of how many boats sold, there are gonna be issues
of all kinds, you just hope that your problems get addressed and move on. you can choose to sell your Nitro and pay more for something else, but don't say
you get what you pay for, that's a lame response, just hope your next experience is better than this one.

Re: Opinions on Nitro vs Triton (mpino)

Just read till your tired. And by the way i delt with two different dealers with no results, left numerous unreturned messages with nitro, and talked to 3 different people at Nitro before I finally got someone that would even call me back. so i guess there are not very many passionate or experienced people there. And just about everyone from the dealers to the people at nitro most of them acted discusted towards me (dont be mad at me I'm not the one that built it, just the one that wasted my money).

Re: Opinions on Nitro vs Triton (GOTTA BIG SACK)

What I am tryin to say is for every one customer like you, there are dozens who can say they didn't have any issues or bad experiences. I have owned 3 Nitros and never had any issues, maybe I am lucky, maybe the dealer I use is top notch, maybe a bit of both.

I am not tryin to defend Nitro, your problem should have been dealt with alot better, I can't say what I would have done if I were in your shoes cause I wasn't nor have I been, but I do understand from your other post that it is getting rectifide, which is what it should have happend in the first place, the bottom line is it is being dealt with and you should be glad that it was in your favor, but that is my point, it got looked after and your being taken care of. even though you had to deal with many challenges, it still got looked after. that is my point.

Why even bother buying a Triton now because you just as soon buy the Ranger since they are made on the same assembly line and Rangers are "better"!

If your local BPS store was giving you the run around then why didn't you just take it to another nitro dealer? You can do that correct?

    Re: (GOTTA BIG SACK)

Same owner/Factory but two different boats. Nitro can be hard to deal with because of their size. Can you imagine how many calls they get a day. Just think about how many calls they get a day if just the dealers call them and not customers too.

Have you ever tried to call your auto manufacture directly? You could by a Lambo or a Porche and get the service you are asking for. I have dealt with Ranger before and get the same results you were getting with Nitro. I didn't have a problem dealing with Nitro when I called them about a console issue. They went above and beyond to get me a console that isn't made anymore.

Yes, Ranger and Triton are owned by the same company now and they are built in the same factory on the same assembly line along with Stratos of course.
