Nitro 700lx /Merc 75 Prop suggestions....

I have a 97 700lx sc with a Merc 75

Looking for prop suggestions. For best overall performance.
boat does have a Hydro so that will help getting on plane.


I do not know what is on it now. I just bought and it's stored for winter.
I want to have a new prop ready to go once the Ice melts...

U will have to run the boat first and get some baseline #s first, like Speed, RPMs..and find out more info on your current prop (pitch, steel or aluminum?, etc).

Not really possible the current prop is trashed.

I can take it to the marina and try all the props I want to but they want 2x what I can get one online for and carry a very small selection of SS and High performance props.

I was just hoping someone out there has that same setup and can at least get started with dia and pitch. I do want a SS prop...

What is the diameter and pitch of the prop u have?

I have the same boat/motor, only difference is mine is a 2001. I don't have a jack plate but am running a 21 pitch Powertech SS (cupped & vented). Top speed with just me and a light load is 46mph (gps). Rpm's are right in range between 5150 & 5200. Tourney loaded with 2 people the boat will run 43-44 all day long. Hole shot is a little slow when the live well is full but not too bad. You might try and find a local dealer that will let you test-run a prop before buying. Barring that, I'd think you would be happy with the same prop I'm running. Good lick in your search and let me know if I can answer any other questions. You've got a great little boat. And with a hydro I imagine I would have a slightly better hloeshot.

You might have a better holeshot, only time on the water will tell. As for diameter, I'm not sure. The boat is put away for the winter in my Dad's garage. I plan on going down in a couple of weeks to work on some upgrades. I'll take a look at the prop when I'm there are send you an IM.

OK so I got the boat out today and it have a 12.5x23p prop on it. reported about 40(speedo) @5200...

I'm thinking 13.75 x 21

I run a 13x21 Solas on my NX750DC with 90HP Merc..

She will run about 42-43 MPH with RPM's at 5400. It also has a good hole shot.
