Guys,
I did an extensive search on this site and I couldn't find information regarding how to "properly" decarb my 1999 Evinrude 225 Ficht...I am just thinking ahead I live in Michigan and it is about 30 degrees outside here today...I just want to be ready when that time comes (hopefully in about a month)....
Also when I get ready to perform my sprig maintenance, what else should I do (I usually change my fuel filter and spark plugs)

Hey guys, I think Rusty is going to freak out. I used to decarb mine with 6 cans usint those instructions.... BUT may want to check with Dr Rusty... He was telling me that is "WAY TOO MUCH" and to use one can only.... Might want to get with him 1st.... Cause he knows hisJust FYI

Thanks Dave for the link.......... if you use those directions for decarbing you May be Rebuilding sooner than you Thought.
OMC and now Bombardier both suggest using one can PER MOTOR, not one per cylinder.
Get the Bomb Engine Tuner and follow the instructions on the can.
Hey Dave, I used those exact instructions a few times.... Sounded good to me, and yep it cleaned her out clean as a whistle.. I just didnt know it was probably boring my cyl .030 overI thought that was the deal untill the high PAYED moderator we got now let me in on the real deal
I felt like a dumb a$$, so now I run all my dumb little questions by John and Fred...
Now I am happy, I get the "rest of the Story now"
