Hello Seahorse do you know s.th about my engine?

I got the advise that you are one of the famous guys here.
I am wondering which is the last update version of software for my engine. it is a 50 hp e-tech, engine number is E50 DPL SOR 05110629
I am asking because I am not sure that my dealer is updated....
By the way as afar as I know is the 50 hp engine identitical to the 60 hp engine despite of software. is it possible to buy an update of the software some where?

The 50 and the 60 E-TEC are completely different engines. The 60 has a higher rpm range and the midsection has a special exhaust tuning device. There is a computer operated water valve that cools the exhaust during hard acceleration to help with midrange torque.

The motors are built so you or a dealer cannot change the software calibration as everything goes by the motor serial number and if the numbers don't match, then the software won't load.

Your dealer or someone with the diagnostic program using a laptop computer are the only ones who can find out what software version update is in your engine. Sorry!
