    Carpet for 2100

Guys, I am about to try to tackle a carpet replacement job in my 2100. I was wondering if anyone has done this (with success) and if so, what carpet did you use. I know Bass Cat has some really good carpet but I belive it is all 24oz and I don't know if my doors will close with that heavy of a carpet. Just wanted to know if, where and what kind y'all have used....and are pleased with. I don't want to get some junky a$$ carpet for a Gambler!

    Re: Carpet for 2100 (G-ride)

I just recarpeted the decks on my Gambler a few months ago. I bought the carpet from Bass Cat. Its is a good quality carpet and I did not have any problems with the doors being hard to open or close. It looks like a new boat. I would recommend this carpet to anyone recarpeting their boat.

Done mine a couple years ago, used 24 oz. Got it from Georgia but dont remember the name. Would not go with anything less than 24 because the backing will show on the 90 degree bends, if lids wont close you can trim the carpet. Lot of the backing pad is being used now also. Basscat has good carpet. Also make sure the grain is cut in the same direction or it will look like a different color for a while. The floor under consoles was a pain in the arse on mine, done it with one piece. 97 209.

    Re: Carpet for 2100 (cripplesnake)

Thanks for all the advice guys...I will probalby be tackling this a little later in October so I am going to go ahead an get all the stuff ready. I have talked to Mike quite a bit and he gave me a bunch of really good pointers on everything too. He also told me that they have the carpet so I may just get everything from him. Thanks again for all the help.

Nick did Mike say whether or not they would send you the carpet already precut for your specific boat?

He didn't say specifically but I am pretty sure it is not pre cut.
