Opinions on ZX190 cover....

I have a 2008 ZX190 and after a fishing trip, my buddy and I had to put the cover on due to an impending rainstorm (Stored outside, no garage space). He did the starboard side and I did the port side. It was the trailerable cover that came with my boat. Unfortunately he ran one of the straps too close to the wheel and the "tail" end of the strap got caught in the wheel the next time I went to move the boat. It ripped a small hole in the top along with peeling the center overstrap off. The base of the side that got caught is all ripped up as well. Any idea if this is repairable? Or should look for a new one? I haven't had the heart to tell my friend what he did because that was his last day before he deployed out (USMC). Or if anyone has a good cover to sell me, let me know. I have to store it outside and the rainy season here in Washington is almost here.

That is a pretty nasty tear. Never fun returning home to find damage to your boat. Hopefully the information below helps!

Couple options:

1. Visit a local canvas shop - They might be about to repair it for a few hundred dollars. Depending on the life of the cover, that might be your best value if the cover is still in good overall condition (minus the damage).

2. You can try, (I say this roughly) purchasing some canvas repair material. The material is semi-flexible with adhesive on one side. Depending on the material, it can, bond well. I am not sure if Skeeter uses a double sided water proofing agent, if they do, this may not be the best option. Skeeter keeps cover patterns back to MY08. You should be a able to order one through customer service as a small parts order. Or get your dealer to do it (it will be more expensive obviously).

There's a cover for sale in the misc section, not sure if will fit yours or not. It's from a zx200.
