Maybe its irony, but today I met our new Japanese dealer. He's in town for the week with everything going on at his home. Our communication barrier today was tough and very slow today but we will have new Gamblers in Japan.
He brought with him a video. It was about 1 1/2 hours long. It was about a famous actor in Japan and he owns 6 (YES) 6 Gamblers. The entire video had a Gambler in it. Basically like a "Day in the Life of ..." but in Japanese, and with our english music in the backgroud.
Well, I spent all day with him, and it never really hit me until tonight. I watched a video on MSNBC of the news, and replays of the Sunami waves and news of the power plant again. Then I thought about that video. If I can I will get it on youtube or some way for all of you to see it. This Gambler is 94 - 96 209 w/ a 300 Merc. He has a custom Steering Wheel, custom gauges, custom carpet prints, custom paints, I mean its like a shrine. More than anything the first half is about him teaching a young Japanese boy, little older than my own, to bass fish. It has pics of him with bass bigger than most of our states records. I MEAN MONSTERS...
So my point is, we look at the news and maybe there are so far away or for what ever reason don't think about it, but maybe we (Gambler owners) can relate. I can't imagine their situation happening off the florida coast. If so it could effect the plant in Palatka within reach of my son.
