Gambler 2200/250 Pro XS
2200 Gambler is a great big water boat.......I have a 2000 DC and have taken it out into 2-4ft rollers in 30mph wind on big Texas reservoirs and it makes me feel very safe. You will love its stability.![]()
i got a sterling and before that a intimidator and have run both boats on lake michigan, green bay and lake erie![]()
thanks for the info feel more confident about possible purchase when i can afford to upgrade.
Gambler 2200/250 Pro XS
I live on Lake Superior and own a Gambler 2200. I have been out there in rough water with 4-6 footers.
Ive taken some head on where I took enough over the bow to reach the tops of the windshields. Not nice, and not warm.
Ive ran the troughs trying to stay in between them and had the waves breaking over my right shoulder and into the boat... not nice either.
However, that was boat control issues rather than boat issues. The boat does well... for a boat with basically no freeboard to speak of.
I plan on running out to Isle Royale next season (from Thunder Bay On). Take a look on the map of Superior to see where it is.
I trust my Gambler that much.
