That's not a bad price, you're looking at less than $ 30k with decent midline df's, 24v tm and batteries for the tm.

You might ask for the price on the 962, it has a pad hull. Met a gentleman that said his would run 65 easily with an 150 Opti.

Wonder what speed difference you'd see between the 961 and 962. Just a note, if you go to the website, it shows the 961. If you go to download catalog and click on look online, it shows the 962.

Pad hull is no longer in production for some reason.

That boat will turn like no other. Just rode in a 961 Predator and when you turn the wheel it digs in and turns, never seen any other boat do that and I've been in alot of them.

I guess they sold a lot more of the 18* hulls. The layout looks the same.

Would like to hear the speed of the 18* vs pad.

I found this out on my 648 by mistake found out it can cut a corner with ease without letting off the gas. Impressive.

One of my buddies first trip with his new War Eagle almost threw him out of the boat. He pulled the tiller handle hard to one side without slowing down thinking he was get the typical aluminum boat skip/slide and almost went over the side. I grabbed his leg just in time.

Looking back through the thread and the other pics and they do all seem to have that style of transom. It is kindof cool looking. The white just really stood out more to me when I seen it.

Any Duck48 or Kubota sightings? Thought we would've heard something about their new 961's by now.

Yes, a please spill all the gory details. I've been thinking new boat and the 961 is high on the list. Did you compare it to the Triton/Ranger boats?

congrats on the new ride, hopefully the time passes quick

I got the center console with the added insulated live well under the leaning seat, high deck front with 60" gun box, with rod boot added, in max4 camo. I am having them add three hot points, two up front and one on the console. I am getting a 4 set rod holder added to each back corner and I am getting them to add two additional seat bases to the rear deck, like comes standard on the front. I am getting two extra biker style seats so they can be stored easily when not needed. I am getting the Minn Kota Ulterra on the front and will be putting my Humminbird 899 SI on board and connecting it to the Ulterra through iPilot Link. It will have two 12' Minn Kota Talons in Max-5 camo with tilt brackets on the rear. The motor is the 115 Mercury and I am getting a Road King Aluminum Trailer with galvanized toung. I have also got the factory to agree to not use plastic covers on the front where the electrical connections terminate. It will come with aluminum plates instead.

Its a big investment and a long time coming. I bought my last boat 17 years ago brand new and I am still using it today with original motor and trailer so I am thinking long term. I am in Florida, so I will be using it for both fresh water and salt water. I can't wait to fish a flat and tell the trolling motor to just take me down a grass line or ledge, forget about it and just fish!

I did not look at Triton/Ranger. I wanted something that had a nice deck for bowfishing and floundering but that still had a good looking front end, for when the bay kicks up and I am on the other side. The Blackhawk seemed to have a good balance of angle, deck size and side hight. The two things I am most unsure of is the trailer, "Road King" and if I need a jackplate for the bunny hop I am hearing about on this board. I could still change both of those on the order if I wanted to. It may be November before this thing comes in.

Everyone has an opinion and you have to filter out what is real and what is pride, but I consistantly heard positive comments on the War Eagle brand and the fact that they take so long to get, tells me that these are not mass produced boats and there is a demand for them. I hope I am right because this will be what I have for a long time. Heck, it might be my last boat!

Very nice! Its good to hear that the factory will make modifications like that. I am deciding between an aluminum and glass boat and war eagle has got my attention on the aluminum side. I talked to a dealer who sells them and he said they have a hard time getting them in and when they do they sell right away as they are very good quality boats. I researched them some on the internet and everyone seems to be very happy with their war eagles.

I went by the dealer today and upgraded to hydraulic steering. We've had some problems with cables around salt water and I am thinking hydraulic will perform better. My tilt/trim on my old motor is hydraulic and its still in good shape after 17 years of exposure and use.

BTO, the transoms are cool. They remind me of the Champion glass boat of the mid to late 90's. Its kinda like a built in set back.

Is the Blackhawk 100 or 125 gauge aluminum because I had my tomahawk made in the 125 gauge because I wanted it to be as solid as I can get love my war eagle
