    improved performance with hydrofoil?

My 20' 2000 Gambler is a slug out of the hole with the 225 XS and the bow lift makes it just a tad dangerous getting on plane. I've swapped around props, but the holeshot still needs to be improved. How many Gambler owners have installed a hydrofoil to compensate for the poor holeshot, and what were the results. Please indicate which brand of foil yoiu used. Thanks for the input.

Boy Nick I have the same question. I also am thinking about installing one. I was told by several that it would get better hole shot and stop the pourpoising at slower speeds. But I would like to here from a Gambler owner if they have one and how it performed before i purchase one.

I have a awesome hole shot, it has a foil made by Allison, and it was on it when i bought the boat so i don't know what difference it made. I have run tempest and trophy props with good results but the best prop i have put on it (HOLE-SHOT) is a Bravo-1 worked by Mark.

I had my boat almost 2 years before installing a Bryan's Foil. Mad a huge difference. Nose doesn't come nearly as high and planes out much quicker. Also able to run at lower speed with out falling off pad. Was around 28 now able to run 19 mph. Love it, wish I had put one on earlier.

Does Bryan still make his foils?

A holeshot plate under the jackplate helps a lot as well.. The plate acts like a scoop on takeoff without one...

Gratified that I have a problem that can be remedied. I was leaning toward the Cobra steel foil but it does seem to add some length to the rear. Anyone know where to contact Bryan?
