Got my replacement engine today

I recieved my replacement engine today. The model #is e225fpzssc serial#is g04790765. I know it has a 25 inch shaft but I am going to swap my powerhead. I will have it dynoed and checked over for problems asap. I know that 2000 model 200,s and 225,s were suposed to be the year that evinrude went from a 3.0 liter to a 3.3 liter. I would like to know which I have if there is a way of knowing by the #s. Hopefully this swap will go smoothly!

The 3.3L motor came out as a 2001 model.

I thought it was 2000 but I am not a evinrude tech. Any suggestions or info on this swap would be welcome. I dont guess that the 2000 fichts were to big of a problem were they?My 99 ficht swallowed a reed valve and retainer and the screws. I found no loctite on the screws when I tore the old engine down. Do you think it would be a good idea the remove the reed plates on the replacement engine and check for loctite on the retainer screws? Thanks for the info.

post the serial # or take that serial number to an authorized Evinrude dealer and they can check.....

thanks very much now I at least have some history. I wonder why it has had 2 emm,s replaced?Was this common? What does umc mean?I think the kit is the recall on the fuel injectors. Thanks again for the info.I you need any gm help let me know I am a gm tech at a dealer in GA.
