Black looks nice but I would never put a dark color in a boat again. My dad runs an G boat with dark green carpet and during the summer it is hot as H3LL! You cannot even sit down or put a knee on the carpet in July and August without burning your skin. Remember, dark colors absorb heat and make it hotter in the summer.
That being said, I would choose Light Charcoal or Red. My brother has an all red G boat and you can fish bare footed in the summer.
What Meyers says! The black carpet will get very hot in summer sun . . . . light grey or charcoal is most practical and goes with all boat colours.
Can't tell what color the hull is in the pic's. But i think i would go back with red and choose a color from your stripes to do the lettering. The hull is red also ? Really hard to decide not looking at the boat, sometimes the pics can throw you off on the colors. Call whoever your buying your carpet from and get samples of the colors you are thinking about and lay them on the deck and see what happens.
I though about doing that but it was after i had it down.![]()

If you fish tournaments and you are hard on carpets, I wouldn't go with black. I had black in my Champion, it looks great for a while, but shows everything, and doesn't stay that pretty black for long. Red, tan, or charcoal would be my choice, but it really has to be a color you like.![]()
For dat little beauty I would go red or charcoal. Black is like stainding in hell in the summer and will show every spec of dirt.
Stickbait, I live in Fresno Ca. very similar to the Pheonix area, I know because I was born in Phoenix. Black is the last color you want, very hot in 90+ degrees & shows every little speck of lint. My fishing partner has charcoal carpet & grey seats & it gets too hot in late spring here in the central valleyMy Gambler has beige carpet & seats, they are alot more heat forgiving
And if you keep ontop of it they are easy to keep clean
my partner & I have identical boats just different colors

Well IMO, the black with the red logo would look the best but like everyone has said here...it will be hot as hell and will get dirty VERY FAST and VERY EASILY. Post pics when you get it done!

I'll let you know when I do. i have some time until i need to choose. I am going to go pick up some samples and try to invision it a little better
be careful with red too. It will take a while but when it fades it will fade to pink
