I-Command Gauges for my Etec 150 HO what the cost

I have a Etec 150 HO and would like to know how much I-Command gauges cost. I have no idea but am interested in adding this as an aftermarket. Tach, Fuel, W.P. Speedo. Also, how accurate are the I-Command Speedo's vs. GPS? IF you feel more comfortable pricing you can IM me as well.

    Thanks!

Go to Look here for Important BRP Links One Stop shopping on the main page for I-Command info and installation booklets

Contact your dealer or one of the sponsoring dealers here for pricing after picking out the part numbers.

    P/N#764175 3.5 I Command $243.76
    764164 engine interface E-tec $45.39
    764155 terminator kit $10.29
    764157 power supply $23.95
    763544 ign/trim/ harness $107.32
    764168 fuel level kit sing/eng $92.69
    764271 oil level kit 1.8 gal $139.59
    764162 15' network cable $19.29
Those prices are msrp most dealers can give better than that. Those parts were for e-tec 115 you may or may not need fuel level, oil level, ign/trim harness. everything else is needed for application. Good luck. T.Fox

Re: I-Command Gauges for my Etec 150 HO what the cost (Tony Fox)

    with Lowrance...

    LMF-400 display only = $126
    EP-20 engine interface = $54
terminator, and power supply = $0 included with LMF-400
    ignition/trim/ harness = $1.47 5 watt 47 ohm resistor
    EP-65R Fuel level sensor = $58 ( I believe it comes with a 20' network cable)

Total $239 according to Boat owners electronic web site. IMO some of this prices are a tiny bit high, you could get it cheaper on the net.

If you want to add the oil level sender you need to add another EP-65R, and you have to get yourself a oil tank sender of your preference.

    I think I didn't forget anything....

Good Stuff. Am I missing something here. Where is W.P. gauge, Tach gauge and Speedometer. What's the cost for these? At these msrp's I am still interested in having this done. My money, my choice and some may say I am crazy. I am already past that point with my big boy toy.
    To be continued.

Re: I-Command Gauges for my Etec 150 HO what the cost (misr12)

If you go with the digital versions of I-command or LMF, all the screens are included on the same gauge you have to configure it to display what info and how you want to show it...

for speedometer, you either need the wheel sender or the gps antenna. I got this 2 with my LMS-525, but i know for a fact you can buy them separate.

water pressure... here comes the price part... the gauges are ready to display water pressure but you will need the sender installed on the engine, the price for the sender without labor is around $182.
If you plan to do it yourself, let me know I can send you some pictures of what I did with mine, as well as another installation technique suggested by another BRP tech.

    Dear Emudryj:

Am very interested in seeing your pictures re the installation of the water pressure sensor. I just registered for this site to be able to reply to you and am unfamiliar with how back and forth communication works. Do you send directly to my email or do we operate through this site. I amm in the process of rigging out a new/used 225 e-tec and need your info.

Re: I-Command Gauges for my Etec 150 HO what the cost (emudryj)

For some reason I can't see my own pictures.. .but basically what I've been told is that the water pressure sensor used on engines that run in salt water, would tend to fail in a matter of months... the solution to that was to make some air cushion between the sensor itself and the saltwater.

I was told to use a 3/8 threaded male to male barbed, a small piece of 3/8 hose, a 3/8 barbed male to threaded female, and the WP sensor. The sensor at the end should be pointing up.

This way, when the water enters the block it will be an air pocket that will protect the sensor to fail.

I couldn't find the barbed to threaded connectors at my local home depot or Lowes, so that's the best I could come up with.

I've been pointed out that the flaw on my design is the possible failure of the bronze parts due to harmonic vibrations, or something like that.

I had this set up for 2 weeks when my boat was stolen so I didn't had the chance to see if these vibrations were doing any damage.

The 47 ohm resistor, where does that go? Cannot that be used also with the I-command, to avoid replacing the existing trim/til-harness?

How does the ignition/trim/harness: where does 5 watt 47 ohm reisistor connect into the LowrnaceNet NMEA 2000 network for Trim to appear on LMF-400.

I bought 2 LMF 400 and 2 LMF 200 last summer, but never found the time to install them. Found just now that one of them has the wrong keys on the front, the keys are like on LCF-1440. Strange things

Torew, what do you mean wrong keys on one of your LMF Gauges? I am researching LowrnaceNet and LMF Gauges for my boat and 150HO Etec. I want to don't have any surprises when I place my order. Thanks for the heads up...

misr12, I mean exactly what I said: One of the LMF400's has the push buttons from the LCF-1440. The other one has the correct buttons.
