    Got a Phone Call!

I got a phone call at work the other day from Evinrude. That's right Eveinrude. Service rep asks if I got a new powerhead last year (225HO)? I said yup! He said that Rude would like me to get it in for an update.

I have only put about an hour or 2 on it since it was replaced.

Told him as soon as the 3 feet of snow that is around the boat melts, I'll get er done!

Thought this was some good customer service.

Nice to see a company being proactive instead of reactive!

Was it a recorded message or live person that first called? I ask this because I keep getting a call saying my warranty is about to expire and to call, but they don't give any indication of who is calling. I discount it as a telemarketer.

A call from Evinrude will be a person not a recorded message.

Hmmmm... I have an 06 225 HO Etec but haven't received a call, I guess it would only pertain to certain model #'s or serial 3's correct.

Matt, it may be because mine is an '06 model year but the new power head was put on in '07. Just a thought!
