    How many...

Of you use a "bucket light" to hang at night? I've seen them and then found a YouTube video on how to make one. So easy a caveman could do it, because I did!!

We camped last week with a group of friends. One of the guys had one hanging from a tree. It is amazing how much light they put out. It's not a harsh light and not blinding to look at.

It looks pretty obnoxious. I would be pretty pissed if someone set one of those up next to me and had it on all night. If i want to go sit under a street light i would go to one of my buddies house and hang out in his front yard.

We use it rather than a lantern to offer some light. It gets turned off when we go inside. I thinks it's better than running a strip of led lights in the "daylight" color... Makes it look like I'm landing an airplane at a runway. Plus, when we camp with other family members, our campsite adjoin with a wooded trail between them. The ladies tend to want to see if there's anything on the trail like possums, armadillos, raccoons etc.

Looks as though it might be good in distracting the bugs if you paint the bucket yellow.
