Maybe it's time for a little change ....

I love most everyrthing about my Gambler 2200.
The one thing I wish they would change is the dash configuration.
I wish they would modify the dash to accept a sonar / GPS unit up at eye level.
I feel the other gauges could be relocated down on the side cockpit into panels wheere the GPS was located.

I don't feel it is safe having to look down to adjust you sight to the GPS,
while going at high speeds. I also wish they would consider putting lift handles at the cockpit end of the forward deck hatches.

I would love to see automatic switching for the trim tabs.
It would be nice if the trim tabs would lower down when you shut off the ignition. Not a big deal but I think that woud be a nice feature.
    Any comments?

Here's my suggestion for the suggestion box ... lose the speedo. I'm probably not the only one who dosen't even look at it. Everything is gps nowadays. Then, figure out how to adapt the sensor for the LCD flasher to hook up to the back of a LMS-339c. Taking out the speedo and LCD flasher and tighting up the other gauges might free up the room needed.

My point was the placement of the GPS / Sonar.
At the speeds we travel ....looking down and away from the water is dangerous.
I was suggestiong the Sonar / GPS be installed up high in the center of the newly designed dash.

Running the Ol Miss at high speeds does not allow you to navigate back and forth very easly.

I saw a Bass Cat with the Dash configured that way...very Smart and sharp. Just my thoughts on a potentially dangerous sitiation.

I like what ever gauges they offer in the side panels. I think that woulr look great. Yes I never use my Speedo ... loose it would be my choice.
