    Project times ?

I have a fishing trip coming up where I am leaving next weekend and I should be getting my boat back from the shop mid next week and I have three boat DIY projects to the boat that I need to get done before we leave. I am absolutely horrible with estimating how longs things take and I always get frustrated because they take longer than I anticipate. I have all day next Friday to complete these but maybe someone can give me some realistic time frames from experience on how long each one of these projects should take. I dont think it matters but the boat is a 05 Triton TR21x

    1. Install/Replace a four bank charger.
    2. Install a Hambys/Keelshield
    3. Install a new ram mount for a depth finder and run a power cable to the battery transducer is already in place.

With help you should be able to do that in a day. The keel protector will probably take the longest time with prep work.

If you only have Friday to work on the boat then get up early and get busy. Prioritize the three jobs in order of importance to you in case you run out of time. If you are good at multi-tasking you can be putting the keel guard in simultaneously while doing one or both of the other projects.

Depends on what you are replacing in regard to onboard charger. For me I went from a minn kota 460d to a 460pc. I had to buy a new piece of king starboard so the mount would look like I wanted it. The keel shield will probably recommend curing for 24 hours or more before using. The power cord can be tricky because you may have to take the ram mount off and tear up the rubber gaskets that (if you have a ranger) are custom made for your particular ram mount. I would say a couple of weeks. LOL!

Are you good friends with the guys that have your boat? Maybe you could swing by after work, and do some of it. Like these guys said, multi task, or do whats the most important. If you can wait on the Keelshield, then do it the next week. My keel took about an 1.5 hr, I was by myself and was scared to death I wouldn't get it on straight. Good luck!!
