New to Garmin need some help picking the right units

I been running Lowrance touch 9,s for two years have not been to happy . so after alot of reading and youtube i think im going with Garmin so what do you guys think the best set up will be for me. i fish out of a 96 champ 181 with a jackplate i mainly fish Kentucky Lake and pickwick . [bass] mostly so what units /mapping/ transducers do i need to look at ? i really like the 94sv [ something that can share waypoints would nice as well as a high speed trans ] just want some input before i buy.

The only advantage the Garmin have over the HDS is if you get one with 2d chirp.

I dont see the 93sv (94sv is saltwater maps) being an upgrade for you.

I am with monte on this. The echomaps might be a bit of a downgrade compared to the hds's. I would be leaning more towards a couple of either 840's or 7608sv's. The 840's are a button screen and will require a gcv10 for side/downvu and the 7608's have it built in. Here is a comparison on the two units you can check out.

It will link with the echomap through the nmea 0183 network just for waypoint sharing.

Just a heads up, i made a mistake on the wpt. Sharing.

it seems that the 7600's and the echomaps will not share if linked via the nmea 0183.
