    07 vs. 08 200HO e-tec

I am considering a new E-tec and have been given a choice between an 07 and an 08. Both are 200HO saltwater E- tecs. Would there be any reason to prefer the 08 to the 07. The savings is substancial$$$$$. Someone said there had been a change in the ignition and injectors but they weren't sure when it was done. Thanks.

Sorry i can't help you with your question, but if you're looking at the 200HO at Anderson dealer, then i've been drooling over that same motor. Just don't have a boat to put it on.

'08 should definitely be a better engine. redesigned injectors, emm re-done, oiling improvements, ignition components re-done for quicker starts and plug life.

Hummmm I didn't look at it that way MHO, if i'm buying I'd pay the xtra and not have to go to the shop!! If the money's tight and you're trying to save every dollar then I would go with Fred's plan.
