Looking at a boat with a a 225 DI and have no clue on Evinrude. Are there any problems with this engine? What kind of mileage woulod I be looking at? Any lower unit problems I should be concerned about?

I'm pleased with my 03 DI. I get better gas and much better oil milage than the old carb engines!
I have an 05 225 DI, and its been awesome. HAd my 3 blade renegade worked by Rich Boger to a 29 - thing screams even for my leadsled 520. Put in Iridium plugs, and use xd100, and she'll give you many hours of happiness.

Jack I have been told twice there are not iridiums for my 05 DI. By numerous people as a matter of fact!! If you have them, what is the make and model# and what do you gap??
