    Here's mine:

    1999 201D
    2006 Evinrude ETEC 225HO
    3.00" shaft to hull.
    1700' above Sea Level.

27 P Tempest Plus, stock not worked.
    5900 rpms, top speed 72, 70 loaded.
Good holeshot and bow lift; Good all around prop, especially in terms of mid range-top end performance

    26 Mark Croxton Raker
    5900 RPM @ 3.5" below pad
Top speed 76 very light, 71 tournament loaded
Slow holeshot, good bowlift; big difference between light load and tournament load; if speed is the requirement, this is my go-to prop

FYI: A lot of things need to be considered when setting up a boat. One very important thing is how you store your tackle. I have all my soft plastic baits stored in the back as well as anything else that may be heavy. (Lead, Hooks, Etc...) I store hard baits up front as well as lifejackets, net, and weigh bags. (Light Stuff).
Slide as many of your batteries all the way to the back and the center of the bilge area. (Up against the transom) Make sure to strap them down as well. What we are trying to accomplish is bow lift. I am not sure of the jackplate situation. I have tried a 10" and a 12" I went with the 12" mostly because of holeshot. I can't tell a lot of difference between the two, but you will be able to turn a bigger prop with the 12".

I have just had a few people ask me setup questions and I thought I would just make a post. I am not an expert by any means and won't claim to be. I believe Backlash had one of the fastest setups. I just like to try new things and am always looking for more. I am just lucky enough that I have access to great setup guys to help me.

Yep! But he only ran on the right hand side of the pad. Ain't that right Larry? If any of the left side of the boat would have touched the water, his speeds would have been way down.

Seriously, I believe he had some prop work done and a hyd jp is key in getting great overall performance. I rode with Larry once and his hole shot was great, (dialed the jp down all the way) and his mid range and top end were awesome. (jp dialed up to the "sweet spot" which I am sure he spent a lot of time figuring out exactly what setting it ran best at.)

If I were to put a 225 or 250 Pro XS on my boat, I would spring for the hyd jp too. Not sure how much they run, but after the cost of the motor, it would be a small investment to make sure I was getting the most out of the motor.

Yea, I think the hydrolic plate is the way to go on any boat. I also have a hunch that a yamaha will out run a mercury on a Cobra. I love my merc, but they just don't have that lowend grunt like a yamaha.

Oh, and don't forget about the Boyesen reeds. Prop work was done by DAH in Burlington, WI

25 Pitch Trophy worked by Mark Croxton. (In my opinion the best money you can spend to improve performance.)

Very good holeshot. (Before I sent my prop to Mark I almost couldn't get out of the hole if I had someone big with me.)
