    Question Trolling motor upgrade ???

Gents, Im wanting to upgrade my TM from a 1997 743 M guide to a newer 60 lbs minnkota . My question is will the new motor mount back into the old motor mounting hole without having to drill new ones??? Really do not want to have to do that. Thanks for your input.

Call Jones trolling motor, he's a BBC sponsor and will probably know the answer to your question. Plus he'll give you a good deal on your new motor. Good luck.

I went from a Minn Kota Edge to a Minn Kota Maxxum and the holes didnt match up. I filled the old holes with marine epoxy and drilled new holes for the new trolling motor. The mount covers the old holes so it doesnt bother me. Plus i did it on an old boat where if I had a newer one i wouldve been really apprehensive to drill the new holes.
