This one weighed in at 5lbs even. Not bad for a Missouri subdivision lake.
Recent spring break trip, fishing was really tough but managed to scrape up a few.
Brother's 8.6 out of a 96 Cobra.
Mine were 10.5 lbs, but had to use two fish to get there.
We both had fish just tear us up that we couldn't turn. Fishing in the thickest trees with 65 lb braid and heavy rods, I wouldn't have believed it until I experienced it with that equipment, but the fisherman stands very little chance.
Were did you catch it? I live in Arnold, Mo. I'd love to try catching a Bass like that without having to travel to the Ozarks or Illinios every time.
I caught that out of our subdivision lake (must own property to fish). It is a 160 acre lake built in 1981. It's got plenty of bass in it, and some are of decent size. Here is one a friend of mine caught.
7lbs 4oz in oklahoma (right before the cold front from hell and the motor blowing)
Nice fish JB! What's the story on the motor? Is it still under warranty??
Still under warranty. BRP shipped out a new powerhead and injector. Should be back on the water next week (if it isn't solid). All that and it didn't cost me a nickel! Not bad service by any means!!!![]()

That is great to hear! Sorry that it screwed up your trip though. Just another chapter in the age old question, "Why do bad things happen to good motors?"![]()
Club tournament last Saturday, north wind at 25-30 and wind chill in 20's. Club limit is three fish and I was blessed with 16.95 lbs with this 8.15 kicker fish. Cold cold day, sure was glad I went.
45 nuts out there fishing, and I was very fortunate to come in first. 4 bites all day, three of them were good solid fish though. Thank you LORD, may I have another???![]()
now that is a pig!!!

Very nice fish!!!
Choke Canyon 10 fish 39#'s with a 11.59# kicker caught by my co-angler. He tore me up from the back of the Cobra. That is a 6# fish in his left hand. I have a pair of 3's. Incredible day. All fish released back alive and well.

Awesome Fish!!![]()
I was going to go to Choke for Spring Break with my son, but ended up going to Falcon. Still want to go there sometime!.
You now have the record for the biggest largemouth posted on the Cobra forum caught out of a Cobra! Congrats!!! (someone named Larry claims the biggest on a striper, but we all know they don't count!!) Of course the rest of us will do our best to de-throne you, but you may be safe for awhile!!
Falcon is on my list of places to fish this year. It's funny that you mention that as on the drive back we were talking about how those fish on Falcon are just plain mean and very smart as they go strait for the nearest tree, bush or brush pile and will use their gill plates to cut mono. Good Fishing![]()
Here's one a little over 7 that my 11 year old caught on Fork a couple of weeks ago.
Here he is with a 6 caught the same day. He caught about 10 over 5 that day.
Pat...looks like the young 'un outfished ya again!Hmmm, let's just say you're a good teacher. Some dandy
fish there!![]()

I thought I would be on Easy Street by now but somehow I missed the off ramp!
Yea Larry I guess that I am a better teacher than I am a fisherman. He caught two to my one that day fishing from the back of the boat throwing the same bait.
Awesome fish for your son Cobra Man!!!! The joy of seeing your son pull in good fish "outweighs" you catching them yourself. You definately made a huge deposit in the father/son relationship that day and made memories that both will cherish. Hats off to you dad!!!![]()
