There is a fine line between \"FISHING\" and just standing in the boat going through the motions!!!![]()
As you noted, prices vary in different parts of the country. The asking price is OK as long as the rig checks out. The EFI will suck plenty of gas compared to later model Optimax's, HPDI's E-Tec's etc. A few 2000 Cobra's had a gel coat problem but if the boat isn't showing the problems now then you're OK as they won't develop now. The two things to look for are a bubbling of the gel coat or the gel coat turning a yellowish color. Neither one is repairable without replacing it. Just rub your hand all over the boat, top, sides and bottom and feel for the bubbling and just visually check real good for the yellowing. Quite honestly, there's some better prices on Cobra 201D's but you'd have to take a long road trip. Good luck with your purchase, looks like a sharp boat.

I thought I would be on Easy Street by now but somehow I missed the off ramp!
That's a really nice looking boat. If you could get the price down a little I would jump on it if everything checks out. If the boat was in my neck of the woods it would probably go for about $2000 less than that asking price.
Good luck and I personally think that you would love the boat even if you paid $17500. Whatever you do negotiate the price before you ride in the boat or he'll have you hook.![]()
Just do it, you won't regret it![]()
Good looking ride by the way.
