    Carpeted fenders

Tandem axle trailer 201D yr,2000. Recently noticed a sag in the carpet on inside fender wells and upon examination found that whatever the carpet is over is rotted away in several area's both sides of trailer. I guess I'll cal EZ loader but just wondering if any other Cobra owners have redone theirs and what thickness marine grade plywood was used? Great boat since I bought it new and no gelcoat issues. Issues with trailer lights, surge brakes always seizing up but no boat or 225efi black on back issues. Thanks for help.

Seems like I saw somewhere that they had plastic pieces you could replace them with, that would never rot. Maybe at Champion Trailers at http://www.championtrailers.com

    Re: Carpeted fenders (cguinn)

I replace both of mine this past summer. I used 1/2" plywood (cause I had it laying around), cut out the pieces, sealed with resin, put the old carpet back on, screwed them to the trailer next trip out.
