I already gave you a bone in the other thread Joe![]()
The owners are not going to come on here and post.![]()
Have patience young Grasshopper... the time will come soon enough. But the real question is what will you do when that time comes??![]()
![]()
That is what you must ask of yourself... as for me, I will wait patiently for my prostaff spot just like everybody else.
Hope you haven't forgot about me Kathy... but what am I to do now that you're not going back?? I have no connections now!!
This sucks...

Having connections to something that doesn't exist doesn't really count for much.![]()

I won't be making any more replies on the subject of the " new owners " or weather the plant is or isn't going to open anymore. If it does....it does. If it don't....it don't. I am like Al......seeing is believing.
I would LIKE it to reopen....but seeing is believing. I have been talking with these guys since last March and I keep getting the same story over and over and over......
So I'm done talking about it.
Anybody need any help trouble shooting a problem with their Cobra or Coral ??? I'm all ears![]()
I would agree Kathy. They've been talking about it since March; we're now halfway through September.
If they do finally open the plant and get back into production I wish them luck, they'll definitely need a lot of it.
I'm with you, I'm done replying on this subject, just a waste of time; far better things to be talking about.![]()
Seems like we've all pretty much reached the point of : "who really cares anymore." The new ownership is losing (if they haven't already lost) it's loyal Cobra base and it'll be more than just a little difficult to get 'em back. Once they reopen (if they do) it's going to take between 1 1/2 - 2 months just to get the chemicals needed to start producing boats, and then there's the little matter about not having a workforce....they'll have to re-train an entire staff. So, if they plan on doing some top cap modifications and having any boats ready for the upcoming boat shows...well, time is about to run out and that will be 4 years in a row that Cobra has not been represented at any boat shows. Pretty hard to sell your product when you have nothing to show prospective buyers. Also, if they don't get a quality gel coat man from the git-go they might as well fold up their tepee right now and ride off into the sunset and give Cobra a quiet burial in Davey Jones' Locker. I have been holding out a glimmer of hope but their silence is deafening. I think it's time to raise the flag: Hey new owners, is all this nothing more than a bunch of.......

I thought I would be on Easy Street by now but somehow I missed the off ramp!
I've been keeping up with this since the get go, and I can honestly say what a total let down this is....I'm a Legend Fan no doubt, but I'll say this.
I hate that this is happening to all of you, I honestley don't know what I'd do if I owned a Cobra boat. And for the Loyal workers (esp. Kathy) it is almost heartbreaking to watch this unfold the way it has for all of you!....
I was really hoping the plant would reopen for you guys and really do good and actually make it this time. Cobra/Vipers are very nice rigs and it is a shame they seem to be at this point never going to make it back. I really hope I'm wrong, I hope everyone is wrong about this....But I'm with you, that if there are new owners they should respect the fact that you guys are the ones that can make or break them, and give you something to go on, other than silence!....I have a hard time believing that they don't know about this site and the chatter on here about all of you waiting, that they couldn't take a few minutes and say something?...

I find it funny that most of the other major brands watch, if not post on the website. And here where a company is trying to get off the ground again they can't even say something to the people who would be purchasing new boats and putting money back in their pockets!!?? I hope this doesn't reflect how things will be when they open. As we all know customer service and communication is a Biggie when it comes to people spending big dollars on a boat. Also what about dealers?? Guess time will only tell. When I priced a new cobra last year the price was really good and I hope that stays the same if not better when they open.

One thing about it, Ed has the company assets and if these guys aren't going to come through, he still has molds, guns and an air permit to sell. The boats may not come out as Cobras, but we will all be able to see the style and know what molds they came out of.
I wouldn't be surprized if Ed wasn't already lining up a back up buyer or two. I just hope it all works out for Ed in the long run. Has anyone heard from him lately?
Just out of curiosity does anyone have a rough ballpark what the company is supposed to be selling for?
Guys,
The new owners are not going to come on here and post. This isn't their web site to do that. This is OUR web site and forum. This is OUR place to help each other our with Cobra and Coral boats.
All I want from them is a phone call with some positive information so that I can come on here and tell you guys something. Any info on the statis of the company is going to come thru me. Just once I would like for them to call me first instead of me always calling them. I am waiting on a return call right now as we speak. I talked to KH on Wednesday afternoon. KH is a very nice man to speak to and I have stressed to him numerous times the anxiety of the situation. Believe me...he knows. I even mentioned to him about letting a few of us get into the plant so we can start some house cleaning. The place is a MESS!!!!! Not a big mess....but we need to get started on cleaning up and organizing and removing all of the field mouse condos that I am sure has been erected over the past 9 monthsHe knows....he knows.....he knows.
Contracts have been signed. Ed Fry is no longer the owner. I talked to Ed on the phone about 3 weeks ago. He and Dorothy are doing well in Florida.
So guys....might as well get back to the subject of helping each other out with your boats on this forum and forget about the new owners throwing us a bone here.......it ain't going to happen.
When I get some positive info, believe me, I will let you guys know ASAP!!!!!
Kathy,
Here's your quote from last night: "I won't be making any more replies on the subject of the " new owners " or weather the plant is or isn't going to open anymore. "
You made it a grand total of 14 hours and 4 minutes before you jumped back in.![]()
